My friend and I are booked to come to GBI Nov. 11-15. We are trying to find some places to stay but looks like everything is closed down. Please advise. Also, is there a cheap ferry to another island that has hotels open? We do not have to stay on GBI, we are just flying in to Free POrt.

Grand Bahama Island continues to rebound in preparation for the winter season. The Best Western Castaways Resort, Island Palms Resort, Island Seas Resort and Pelican Bay Hotel are fully operational.

The Sheraton at Our Lucaya (and the Isle of Capri Casino) will resume operations October 14 and The Westin at Our Lucaya will re-open November 1.

So, you've plenty of choices as far as hotels go.

my husband and I are scheduled to stay at xanadu Beach resort and Marina can you tell me it this is open we are to arrive November 20-27.

They are just finishing the repairs to Xanadu Beach Resort. They are partially open now and expect to be fully restored by October 31.
