Paradise Harbour Club & Marina is a clean and very well kept hotel on Paradise Island, however it is on the Harbour side but beautiful nonetheless. There is a wonderful restaurant next to it called Columbus Tavern which has excellent seafood and steak dishes (Flaming Steak Diane is delicious) no to mention their Guava Duff for dessert. This hotel also has a sister hotel right across the street that you can ask about. I just don't remember the name but it is right on the beach. These two hotels are on the opposite end of where Atlantis is (about 5 minute taxi or 20 minute walk from there). These two hotels are right next to the Ocean Club Gold Course. sunrise beach club on paradise island is an excellent place to stay. It is right on the beach and walking distance to the atlantis. It has cozy 1 2 or 3 bedroom villas with full kitchens. Never have to fight for q pool chair and quiet. The outside Bar is quaint with a limited food fare. I just got back after a weeks vacation staying at Nassau Beach Hotel. I was leary and afraid of where I had made reservations after reading some of the comments concerning the condition of this property. I have high standards and I know you get what you pay for. However, I have a budget and I wanted beach front & all the accomodations they have. There are tons of activities to do. Yes there are repairs that need to be done but they are minor and only cosmetic. Service is excellent and everything inside and out is extremly clean. It is understandable why they are not making any repairs since this is the last year it will be standing as it is being torn down and a new hotel built. My husband and I both said we would go back any day. Had a blast. The only issue I have is the price at the restaurants on the island. I wish I would have done more research before & chose to eat at various places.. Johnny Canoes food & ambiance is great but I found out you can get this elsewhere for much less. I wish I would have gone to Daddy O's. I also wish I would have got pizza from Domino's instead of going to Sbaro's. Food is good but too high. Domino's is 1/3 of the cost. I am not used to paying $35 for for a small portion of breakfast. We have always gone to Senior Frog's and Hard Rock Cafe wherever we are & Nassau was alot higher than any place we've ever been. If you go to Nassau Beach Hotel pickup the pamphlets located on the Bell Captains desk or look for these wherever you may be. They provide a ton of info & ways to save money. I picked these up for my scrap book as I was checking out. A little to late but I will know next time. Nassau Beach Hotel is a good buy. BEWARE...Do not stay at Comfort Suites, not worth the discount price. Alot of ala carte charges and lousy cust svc. Dirty rooms, construction site is the view from all non smoking rooms, and personal items could disappear from your room.
