Can you tell me if any of the timeshare resorts are up and running or will be running by Oct. 16th as we were scheduled to stay at the Royal Oasis but they will not be open. We are looking for something in Port Lucaya, for the week of Oct 16 thru the 23. If you can help I would appreciate it.

I am not that familiar with the timeshare resorts as we concentrate our attention on Bahamas Hotel Association members and many of the timeshares, especially in Grand Bahama, are not members.

I would think that the Royal Oasis would have some interest in assisting you in finding suitable replacement accommodations if they are unable to accommodate you. I suggest you continue to try to contact them. The electricty and phones will among be the first things restored on Grand Bahama.

Timeshares are the most seriously biggest loss on money and investment. You can't believe all the bullshit that happens, plans change regularly and by points . and you never getting your money's worth.700 dollars a year for maintence(what the bleep)why are you paying for maintence .Rip off...Once your in you can't even get out.It is not worth it.Keep your money and save bigtime by taking your own vacation ,at least you will get a better place to stay. And you don't need to worry about all the changes and hidden fees...
