The Bahamas and China have agreed on a new package of technical support totaling $8 million.
The largest resort project in the Caribbean is located in New Providence – Baha Mar – which is being financed by China’s EXIM Bank and built by mostly Chinese labour.
Bahamas Prime Minister Perry Christie was in Trinidad to meet with China President Xi Jinping on his visit to the country, and the two leaders held talks. Details of the funding were not released.
