‘Black Panther’ Costume Designer Honored by NAACP

The 53rd NAACP Image Awards honored Ruth E. Carter with the Vanguard Award for Costume Design. Carter’s notable credits include Malcolm X, What’s Love Got to Do With It, Dolemite is My Name, and Marvel’s Black Panther, which she won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design in 2019, reports the LA Times.
