The stock market roller coaster didnメt even stop for a breath this week, continuing on its erratic course of thrills and chills to finish the dog days of August. The DOW and the S&P finished the week down -2.4% and -2.6% respectively while the NASDAQ gave back -4.8%. The markets confronted fairly positive economic news all week but were weighed down by the fear of a double dip recession and low trading activity.
