Financial and real estate consultant Suzanne Black is slated to address a select group of professionals this week at Oxford during the 12th annual Offshore Postgraduate Seminar.
Ms. Black, the recipient of numerous honours and awards during a 25-year career in financial services, is the only Bahamian presenter at the prestigious academic forum that draws strategists and practitioners from banking, trust companies, chartered accounting firms and the senior civil service. The weeklong seminar that opens September 1 at Jesus College, London, covers a wide range of topics in the swiftly changing financial services industry and allows participants to exchange ideas with respected regulators and successful practitioners. Ms. Black, a sought-after public speaker and financial forum panelist, is past president of The Bahamas Institute of Bankers, five-time Chairman of the Bahamas International Financial Conference, a past Director of The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and the first president of the Lyford Cay Club. A recipient of the British Empire Medal (1998), Ms. Black was awarded The Bahamas Silver Jubilee Anniversary of Independence Award for her contribution to National Development in the Financial Services Sector. In 2000, she joined C.A.Christie Real Estate where she focuses on real estate investment opportunities and development.
