Bahamas Copier and office Products, the Collins Avenue-based company has merged with Bahamas Business Solutions in an agreement that will give the company a “stronger management focus” and greater capital base.
Winston Rolle, Bahamas Copier’s managing director told The Tribune that Bahamas Copier’s name would disappear and the newly merged entity assume the title of Bahamas Business Solutions. He added that the deal menat the end of the Palmer family’s thirty year ownership of the firm.
Mr. Rolle, who becomes vice-president with responsibility for sales and marketing in the new company, said the benefits of the deal were a “stronger management focus and greater capital base – they’re the two key issues”.
Bahamas Business Solutions, which was already established as a stand alone company to provide an alternative IBM dealership in this nation, began merger negotiations with bahamas Copier three to four months ago.
The merger adds IBM to Bahamas Copier’s existing product lines, which include Xerox, NCR and Tyco security systems.
