Tourism Boost For Grand Bahama

Grand Bahama's tourism product will get international exposure and promotional opportunities through the island familiarization programme to be implemented for the Caribbean Tourism Conference (CTC) this month.

The Ministry of Tourism has organised special familiarization tours of tourist attractions for intenational journalists who will attend CTC in Grand Bahama.

The tours will be conducted on October 25 and 27, just before the official opening on October 28.

"Our guests are not only coming to attend a conference. They will be here to experience Grand Bahama in an enlightening and intimate way," said Adrian Archer, manager /public relations in the Ministry of Tourism.

The programme has brought millions of dollars worth of positive publicity to the islands of the Bahamas and individual business enterprises, such as hotels, restaurants and recreational establishments.

The writers are scheduled to tour the Royal Oasis Gold Resort and Casino, Pelican Bay Resort and Our Lucaya Resort, which will host the conference. Activity trips include a city and country tour and excursions to Garden of the Groves, The International Bazaar, UNEXCO's Sanctuary Bay, and Kayak Nature Tours.
