Four Face Rape, Robbery Charges

Three men and a woman face a long list of charges including rape, robbery, kidnapping and armed robbery of businesses and homes over a period of a month.

Lavaughn Finlayson, 28; Romeo Lynes, 22; Geneo Tynes, 18; and Quinisha Bain, 19 stood before Magistrate Carol Misiewicz in Court 13 as she read the charges against them.

Finlayson faces the majority of the charges which amount to 13 counts of armed robbery and rape, two counts of kidnapping, possession of an unlicensed firearm, possession of ammunition, forcible detention, receiving, assault with a deadly weapon and burglary.

As news circulated that the four were to be charged, groups of people congregated “out of nowhere” in front of the Supreme Court to watch them being taken into the court.

The four, between October 4 and November 4, are accused of obtaining almost $45,000 in stolen goods.

While these four are in custody for rape and robbery they are not believed to be the men who committed the heinious acts against the Pastor or the Village Road family.

All three men were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison, Fox Hill.

The woman was released on $5,000 bail on the charge of receiving stolen goods.

A preliminary inquiry was set for December 2 when all four will appear before Magistrate Linda Virgill in Court 1 on Bank Lane.
