This past weekend was a buzz of activity at the Atlantis, Paradise Island resort, as guests and staff alike were thrilled and amazed by the celebrity sightings of one of television’s favourite daytime dramas, “All My Children.”
After having decided on the ideal tropical location, producers of the show engaged two separate crews in three consecutive days of filming about the magnificent property, to highlight the cliffhanger of one of their major storylines for the purpose of a sweeps week in February.
Actors Aiden Turner, known as Aiden on the hit show, and Eva LaRue as Maria got the chance to explore the many ‘wonders of Atlantis’ such as the Mayan Temple; The Dig; lagoons and the hundreds of marine life that roam beneath the mysterious waters of the world’s largest marine habitat.
The entire cast and crew even braved the chilly ‘Bahamian winter’ weather for a full day of shooting on the pristine beach hideaway known as the Cove Beach.
Sandra Eneas, Director of Public Relations for Kerzner International Bahamas said, “media exposure such as this not only keeps Atlantis at the forefront of our customer base but provides entertainment and excitement for the Atlantis guest”
She continued, “this particular shoot had an additional bonus value has it provided employment opportunities for five Bahamian production assistants and twenty six Bahamian “extras.”
