Persona Inc. (“Persona”) announced todaythe appointment of Ms. Sally Moyer Kent as the company’s Chief Financial Officer effective February 17th, 2003. Ms. Moyer Kent will be located in Toronto and will be responsible for all aspects of finance, accounting and treasury for the Company, with a focus on investor relations and corporate development activities.
Ms. Moyer Kent is a native of New York and currently lives in Toronto, Ontario. She holds a BA in Philosophy from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire (cum laude) as well as an MBA from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Ms. Moyer Kent has had an impressive career, marked by a strong track record in both the communications/entertainment industry and investment banking. She worked with Morgan Stanley in New York from 1983 to 1990, where in the Mergers and Acquisitions Group she participated in all aspects of identifying and completing significant public and private mergers, acquisitions and divestures, and in the Corporate Finance Group where she was responsible for the day-to-day coverage of major domestic and international retailers, marketing a broad range of investment banking products and services.
From 1991 to 1997, Ms. Moyer Kent held progressively senior roles with Rogers Communications Inc. where she began as Director, Financial Planning and Investor Relations and finished as the Chief Financial Officer of Rogers Cablesystems Limited. While at Rogers, she established a proven record for maintaining strong, broad-based investor relations programs, while gaining significant experience through many successful capital market transactions and participating in numerous acquisitions in the cable and publishing areas.
Ms. Moyer Kent left Rogers in 1997 to join Nelvana Limited as its Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. While at Nelvana, her responsibilities included all aspects of managing the operations of the Company as well as strategic planning, budgeting, corporate development, finance, accounting, treasury and investor relations. She left Nelvana following her instrumental role in completing a $554 million sale of Nelvana to Corus Entertainment.
