FNM MP Brent Symonette planned to address the House of Assembly calling for the resignations of Prime Minister Christie, Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Neville Wisdom and the entire cabinet in an address.
The opposition had planned to move a resolution condemning Minister Wisdom for the loss of over $1 million in the 2002/2003 Junkanoo parades. However, after accusing the government of hiding information relevant to the debate, opposition leader Alvin Smith led the party out of the House in protest.
In the absence of the opposition, the PLP moved a very different resolution, praising Neville Wisdom for his contribution to Junkanoo.
