A Pennsylvania doctor was stopped from giving DNA evidence in the Ackiem Rolle murder case yesterday when defence lawyers protested that they did not receive her report in time to prepare a cross-examination.
Dr. Kimberlyn Nelson, an expert forensic examiner at Mitotyping Technology and State College in Pennsylvania, had flown to Nassau to give DNA evidence to identify the skeletal remains of 4-year-old Ackiem Rolle. His father, Garth Rolle is accused of his murder.
Dr. Nelson will return to Pennsylvania today as planned, but will be recalled by prosecution next week.
