The Rainbow Alliance of The Bahamas was disappointed yesterday that Christian Council president Bishop Samuel Green, had refused to apologise for his recent “discrimatory” comments against gays and lesbians.
The group is also disapppointed that the government, up to yesterday, had made no attempt to respond to Bishop Green’s threats of violence.
Bishop Green last week faced a fierce backlash following one of his comments on gay marriages. One critic described him as “undemocratic and unchristian”.
However, the religious leader said not only would he not retract his statements but in future would reinforce them.
