Scotland Yard Joins Missing Boys Case

The search for the four missing boys, in Grand Bahama, has been intensified with the Royal Bahamas Police Force receiving assistance from international law enforcement agencies.

The disappeaarance of a fourth boy last week has created an “even more critical” situation, said Minister of National Security, Cynthia Pratt.

Larry Covington, Caribbean regional advisor from Scotland Yard, London’s Metropolitian Police Service, arrived in Freeport yesterday morning to consult with Supt. Marvin Dames, head of the Bahamas Central Detective Unit.

Already working on the case with local police is a resident psychologist along with the Virginia-based National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children, the F.B.I. and Florida law enforcement agencies.

Information about a government reward for citizens coming forward with information about the boy’s disappearances will be announced next week, Mrs. Pratt said.
