Waiting Game For Inquiry Into Inagua Incident

Officials at the Attorney General’s office said they are still waiting for Cabinet to appoint two additional commissioners to preside alongside retired Supreme Court justice, Stanley Moore.

Last month, proceedings were expected to begin “shortly”. At the time Attorney General Alfred Sears said he was waiting for an update on accommodations for justice Stanley Moore.

Moore was intended to be the sole commissioner; however, two more commissioners are expected to be appointed. The new commissioners have not been named.

The inquiry will examine the arrest, subsequent detention and incidental proceedings relating to the vessel Lorequin.
