The murders bring the total count for the year to 35.
Police said at 12:58 a.m. Sunday Gary Adderley, 24, also known as “Biggie” of Curtis Road, Gambier, was killed at Douglas Road in Gambier Village.
The victim was reportedly involved in an altercation with another male and was stabbed in the neck and another area of his body, police said.
Adderley was taken to the Princess Margaret Hospital, but succumbed to his injuries around 3 a.m., according to police reports.
Police reported that they were following significant leads in the case and expected to make an arrest soon.
Also on Sunday, around 7:36 a.m., the body of Kenneth Brown, 19, of Ridgeland Park was pulled out of waters at Potter�s Cay Dock, police said.
They reported that the young man had multiple stab wounds to the body.
A few hours before at 1:58 a.m., another stabbing took place in the area of Potter�s Cay Dock.
Sabreo Glinton, 17, of Stapledon Gardens, reportedly received multiple stab wounds to the head and body.
He was taken to hospital for treatment, but it is believed that his injuries are not life threatening.
Police said that two men, both 23 – one of York and Ernest Streets and the other of London Terrace – were being questioned in connection with the incident.
Police believe that an altercation between the victim and the two men resulted in the stabbing. Investigators also believe that the two Potter�s Cay incidents are related.
In other crime news, around 9:37 p.m. Saturday, two armed dark-skinned males reportedly entered the VIP Chinese restaurant at Bay and Deveaux Streets.
They demanded cash and made off with an undetermined amount of money and four Quik Cell cards.
The men escaped on foot in the Dowdeswell Street area, police said.
