Austin Knowles Jr. and four others were brought to Bank Lane Tuesday, hoping to hear a decision from Magistrate Carolita Bethel.
But because “not all the necessary documents are ready”, their case has been postponed to November 12, when it is expected that Magistrate Bethel will decide if the men will be committed for extradition to the US.
The extradition hearing was postponed last month after Hurricane Isabel made it difficult for several defence witnesses to get to Nassau. The storm also prevented Keir Stamer, QC, who is leading the defence team, arriving from London.
Austin Knowles Jr., Sean Saunders, Ian Bethel, Edson Watson and Nathaniel Knowles are accused of importing cocaine into the US.
