Police are holding a 17 year-old male resident of St. Margaret's Road in custody in connection with the killing, and say that charges can be expected very soon.
The incident involved a group of youths, and it is thought that there may have been a history of recent disputes between those involved.
Speaking to The Tribune yesterday, Jeffrey's mother was clearly still stunned by the loss. She spoke in a whisper, with her daughter translating for her from Haitian Creole.
Superintendent Hulan Hanna of the Royal Bahamas Police Force says this ;atest death is a tragic example of the recent rise in knife crimes among teenagers.

Tuesday's murder comes less than a month after another 15-year-old boy was hospitalised having been stabbed several times in the neck and face.
