Officials of the BEC union could not be reached and the president of the Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Workers Union was said to be in Grand Bahama.
However, a BHCAWU officer, who wished not to be named, said the union was not aware of industrial being taken.
“We did not have a meeting,” it was stated. “But if action is taken we would have to support it.”
