Just Picture That

Wulff Road has been closed since the weekend at Lexington Ave. by the cleanup of rubble from the demolition of the late Walter Hudson’s Hutch’s Lounge.

So what would be more logical than to allow a movie crew shooting at Lover’s Lane to block all westbound traffic during the morning rush hour with its vehicles, equipment and barriers?

It seems to have become a universal phenomenon that governments become totally infatuated with the movie business and trot all sorts of rationalisations about economic stimulation despite all evidence to the contrary when inconvenienced residents complain.

Those who allowed Tuesday’s impenetrable road foulup will have a hard time selling any of the thousands who were late for work and appointments of any benefit won by a bit of very poor planning or a total lack of it.
