Kellyᄍs Toyland Opening Thrills Nassau Children

Each year children and parents anxiously await the OPENING of Kellyᄍs Toyland in the Mall at Marathon. This year Saturday, Nov. 8 was IT!

Santa and Kellyᄍs Snowbear arrived at Kellyᄍs on a Christmas Truck. A Junkanoo Band led the Christmas VIPs to hundreds of cheering children. In the meantime, Kellyᄍs staff handed out free popcorn and balloons while children lined up to bounce in two giant bouncy castles.

Three hours later, the tent outside Kellyᄍs was still full of more children lining up for the Fantasy Forest and photos with Santa and Snowbear.) “Native Stew” was there so you can share the fun Thursday night at 8 p.m. on ZNS TV after the news.

Santa and Snowbear hugged children and opened Kellyᄍs Fantasy Forest, animated and singing animal figures in a forest draped in snow. SnowBear escorted Kellyᄍs Toy Buyer Lashanta Campbell, dressed in seasonal red and white.

Then, Santa and Snowbear posed for photos with the kids, $5 for photos with Santa and Snowbear, $3 for just Santa, with proceeds going to local charities. The photos will continue throughout November weekends. The FREE Fantasy Forest is open daily during Kellyᄍs regular store hours.

Kellyᄍs Store Manager Shirley Paul organized it all and said, “You know, we just love making Christmas special for children. So, we make it festive and offer all the toys at 20 per cent off now through Nov. 12 to help make Christmas merry for everyone, with love from Kellyᄍs.”

To help the Island spruce up for Christmas, Kellyᄍs also offers 20 percent off all Christmas decorations and paint supplies and 25% off paint.

New shipments arrive daily in the big store, decked with dozens of Christmas Trees decorated in all the new styles in Christmas dcor.

Mrs. Paul reveals, “We have special in-store events planed for the whole season, including floral arrangements by Mrs. Dorothy Booth. You just have to keep watching our ads to see the Christmas Gifts we have in store for YOU, with love from Kellyᄍs.”
