On behalf of Friends of the Environment, Abaco’s conservation organization, I thank you for your recent recommendation to Cabinet not to proceed with the proposed LNG regasification plant and pipeline at this time.
Your conservative diligence and application of the pre-cautionary principle is admirable. I also wish to thank you for acknowledging the importance of allowing members of Family Island communities a chance to take part in the Environmental Impact Assessment review process.
You have demonstrated the type of clear-minded governance which is needed to protect our precious natural resources and ultimately the economic and environmental health of our society.
