The inquiry opened 10 weeks ago, but was put on hold before any evidence was heard due to a challenge to the validity of it’s rules. It reopened yesterday, operating under a new set of rules, but was again put off before any evidence could be heard.
The inquiry was originally expected to be purely investifative but is now proceeding in a very different manner. It is being montored by the Attorney General, and may be followed by a review of the relevant legislation.
