The glimmer of hope was announced shortly after 8pm by Labour Minister Vincent Peet, who told reporters that government, the Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Workers Union and The Bahamas Hotel Employers Association had “seen some movement”.
“We are at a very critical stage in these negotiations and the government has determined that these negotiations will continue and succeed because if they do not, it will mean very bad news for the Bahamian people and the economy,” said Mr. Peet.
