Members of the Bahamas Hotel Catering and Allied Workers Union and the Bahamas Hotel Employers’ Association began a series of week long contract negotiations yesterday in an attempt to avert a massive strike that could have far reaching consequences for the Bahamian economy.
After yesterday’s meeting BHCAWU president Pat Bain told The Tribune that it was too early to say if the union and the BHEA leadership could reach a compromise.
