Business Outlook Starts Today

Organised by The Counsellors Ltd. this year’s Business

Outlook is being held under the theme “Looking Out For Global Opportunities.”

The keynote address will be delivered Minister of State for Finance, Senator James, who is expected to speak on all aspects of the economy from tourism to construction, financial services, and trade. He will also address the areas of tax reform and e-commerce and report on effects of recent investments on the economy. Furthermore he is expected to preview Government initiatives and expenditure over the next four to five years.

Senator James Smith will lead a slate of distinguished speakers including: Willie Moss, deputy chairman and president, Grand Bahama Port Authority; Julian Francis, governor, Central Bank of The Bahamas; John C Pattison, vice president FirstCaribbean International Bank; Vincent Vanderpool Wallace, director-general Tourism; Lennox McCartney, director, National Insurance Board; Sir Arthur Foulkes, former ambassador and high commissioner; Selvin Basden, deputy manager – administration, Central Bank; Anthony McKinney, chairman, Bahamas Maritime Commission; Charles Cambrigde, professor of management, School of Business, California State University; and Haldane Chase, head of unit for relations with International Organisations, Ministry of Education.
