The permanent delegates of the Russian Federation and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas to the United Nations, Ambassadors Sergei Lavrov and Paulette Bethel, signed a corresponding statement in New York on January 14.
The document stresses that Russia and the Bahamas are determined to build up their relations in keeping with the goals and principles of the U.N. Charter and the International Law, especially ﾓrelating to the safeguarding of universal peace and security, respect of equality, national sovereignty, territorial integrity and national independence, non-interference in their domestic affairs, observance of international agreementsﾔ.
The Bahamas are famous for their sand beaches and are a world-renowned centre of international tourism.
