The National Junkanoo Committee announced yesterday that the official results released January 5 still stand. In the unofficial results announced on New year’s morning, the Valley Boys were declared to have beaten the Saxons by six points, but the Saxons protested that this victory was clearly undeserved, and submitted an official complaint to the NJC. The NJC reviewed the result, and overturned it. The review committee has recommended that the NJC no longer issue “unofficial” results.
