Three Arrested After Attempted Robbery

Assistant Superintendent of Police Sidney McPhee said authorities were tipped off about a robbery planned at he shopping centre and were waiting when the intended thieves came at 11:15am.


ASP McPhee said that several men tried to rob armoured vehicles heading to the FirstCaribbean International Bank. Expecting the attack, police stopped the robbery before anything was taken.


Two men in a parked car near the bank were arrested and police shot a third man as he ran from the scene.
