Freeport – Over the weekend 54-year-old Dottie Powell, of Pickering, Ohio, became the island’s first traffic fatality for the year.
Mrs. Powell and her husband were passengers along with four other friends from Ohio on the taxi-bus when the accident occurred.
Supt. Basil Rahming said a Hyundai vehicle driven by an employee of Domino’s Pizza collided with the bus..
