The producers of the film ‘After the Sunset’, starring 007 James Bond actor Pierce Brosnan, Woody Harrelson and Salma Hayek, reportedly pumped about 10 million into the local economy when they shot parts of the film here over three months.
But the producers didn’t intend to leave a bunch of equipment worth tens of thousands of dollars here as well. It is reported that a gang of con-men pulled up to the film set in trucks while they were filming at the Eastern Parade near Paradise Island Bridge.
They told the foreign film crew that they had been sent to pack the cameras, computers and other gadgets and move the equipment to the next shoot site.
The crews told them to go ahead, so the con-men loaded up the trucks and drove off, and the equipment has not been seen again.
