Dressed in a pair of blue jeans and plaid shirt, Kenny Ernie Stubbs, 41, of South Beach Drive appeared before Magistrate Carolita Bethel in Court #8.
Authorities allege that on February 12, Stubbs was found in possession of nine pounds of cocaine with a street value of $80,000 and more than $167,000 in cash.
Stubbs pleaded not guilty and was granted a $50,000 bail with two sureties. He was also required to surrender all of his travel documents and ordered to report to the East Street South Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Stubbs is expected back in court on February 19 at which time he will face another charge of bribery.
He was represented by attorney Murrio Ducille.
Also charged with possession of dangerous drugs with the intent to supply was Malario Ricaldeo Abraham, 35, of Freeport. Abraham was charged with possessing 92 pounds of cocaine with a street value of $840,000.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge and was denied bail. The judge remanded him to Her Majesty’s Prison in Fox Hill until Thursday at which time a bail hearing will be considered.
Kenneth Turnquest, 45, was also charged with possessing illegal drugs. Authorities allege that on February 15 Turnquest was found in possession of four grams of cocaine.
He was granted bail in the sum of $5,000 with one surety. He is expected back in court on June 30 for a preliminary hearing.
