As Haiti takes the first tentative steps to establish order and stability, Mr Witajewski told Rotarians that the Bahamas can play a significant role in the future of Haiti’s renewed attempt at successful democracy.
Mr. Witajewski was speaking at the West Rotary Club’s weekly luncheon and said that the United Stataes views recent events as an opportunity for new beginnings for the people of Haiti and that they are “anxious to work with the Caribbean Community to support the new Haitian government to achieve a brighter and more prosperous future.”
