Controversial Iranian businessman Mohammed Harajchi has promised to hold a press conference sometime next month to reveal some ”shocking news” about the government.
Last month, Mr Harajchi said that he was preparing to unleash some major relevations in respones to comments made about him by Minister of Works and Utilkities Bradley Roberts, but decided to postpone it until after the appeal hearing against the revocation of the banking license of Suisse Security Bank and Trust, of which Mr Harajchi is chairman.
The court has since dismissed the case.
Some political observers have speculated that Mr Harajchi’s revelations may be connected to his support for the PLP during the 2002 election campaign. Mr Harajchi has claimed to have donated millions of dollars to the party.
When contacted yersterday PLP Chariman Raynard Rigby told The Tribune that he will withold comments on the matter after Mr Harajchi’s press conference, scheduled to be held between August 7th to 10th.
The Tribune was told that Mr Harajchi was in Europe and plans to make the revelation when he returns to the Bahamas.
