Abaco Club's $200 Million First Phase On Schedule

The $200 million Abaco Club at Winding Bay resort yesterday said it expected to meet the December construction deadline for the development’s first phase, with 16 hiomes, fully furnished, decorated and ready for occupation, and 40 vacant lots already sold.

Project manager Mark Scott said the resort, which economists estimate will have a positive impact of more than $800 million on Abaco’s economy is expected to be completed over a five to six year period. Some 130 homes, ranging from $1 million to $3 million in value, will be built at the luxury development.

The homes will be sold “turnkey” style, meaning that the developer will furnish and decorate the property, making it completely ready for owners to move in and begin living.
