After a successful launch last year, organisers have announced the date for the upcoming 2nd annual Abaco Business Outlook seminar.
Under the theme “Building on Diversity”, this year’s conference is slated to be held Wednesday, Sept. 22, Great Abaco Beach Resort.
Co-organisers of the event are the Abaco Chamber of Commerce and the Nassau-based marketing firm, The Counsellors Ltd. According to Abaco Chamber of Commerce president, Michael Albury, “his organisation and the Abaco community as a whole are more than pleased with The Counsellors’ continued commitment to hosting an event of this magnitude once again on their island.”
“Abaco’s growth and contribution to the Bahamian economy cannot be overlooked and so it’s only logical that we continue to expand our roster of conference sites to include this island which is definitely on the move,” says Joan Albury, President, The Counsellors Ltd.
Speakers at the September conference include a cadre of professionals from various fields throughout the country. “The wide array of speakers and topics certainly reflects the seminar’s theme of ‘Building on Diversity’,” says Joan Albury. “Abaco is blessed with a diverse economy whether agriculture, fisheries, tourism, etc., and the purpose of the seminar is to showcase the various different opportunities available for the growth of individual businesses, the island’s economy and the country as a whole.”

The ‘Business Outlook’ seminars began 13 years ago in New Providence, with this year’s Nassau edition drawing hundreds in January under the theme “Looking Out For Global Opportunities”. The sixth annual Grand Bahama edition of the seminar was held in March under the theme,”Grand Bahama ヨ 50 Years & Growing”.
