Celebrate The Hunt Ban

The time for the ban on hunting with dogs has finally arrived. ᅠIn a landmark decision yesterday afternoon, MPs voted to end hunting with dogs in England and Wales. ᅠThe ban will come into effect in July 2006. ᅠIt’s the beginning of the end for the barbaric sport.

The passing of this historic bill is a victory for compassion and justice.

This decision will save countless foxes, deer, hare and mink from being chased to exhaustion and cruelly torn apart alive by dogs.

This is a ruling that will put a final end to centries of cruelty. ᅠIt will resonate throughout the world: ᅠanimal suffering and bloodshed will no longer be justified in the name of entertainment.

And we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for all your support over the ten years IFAW has fought to see this day – and won.

Please Spread the Word

Since 1989, IFAW has been leading the campaign in the UK for a total ban on hunting wild animals with dogs. ᅠFor years, our hunt monitors have braved threats and abuse to follow hunts and expose the cruelty and hypocrisy of this barbaric practice. ᅠAnd now their day has finally come.

But it is also your day and a great day for all animals around the globe. Dedicated IFAW supporters like you really do make a difference for animals in need.

So please share this great news with other animal lovers and help us tell others about the work IFAW is doing to make a better world for both animals and people.

And if you’d like to help IFAW win more victories like this one, please make a donation today. We’ve won a major battle, but opponents will be working hard to try and undo this victory for years to come. We need your support to defend this decision and make sure no more animals suffer needlessly from this cruel sport ever again – so please give what you can now.
