Abaco Police Reserve Charged With Attempted Rape

A police reservist has been charged in Magistrate’s Court in Marsh Harbour, Abaco with the attempted rape of an 18-year-old girl.


Reserve Police Constable 345 Anthon Bernard Lightbourn, 30, of Dundas Town, appeared before Magistrate Crawford McGee.


He was represented by Godfrey “Pro” Pinder.


It is alleged that lightbourn on October 3 had sexual intercourse with an 18-year-old girl without her consent in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.


He was not required to enter a plea and was granted $7,500 bail to the charge.


He was ordered to surrender his travel documents and to report to the Marsh Harbour Police Station every Monday, Wednesday and Friday before 6pm.
