Bahamas Schoolboy Stabbed By Gang

A 17-year-old boy is recovering from multiple stab wounds after being attacked by a gang of students from his school.

Just after 7:20am yesterday police responded to a call near Cousin McPhee Cathedral, off Carmichael Road, where it was reported that a young man was lying in a pool of blood near the road.

He told police that he was “ganged” by a group of students from the same school while waiting for the bus. He is listed as being in stable condition with stab wounds to his neck and shoulders.

Despite this incident, police credit the fact group or gang violence is actually down among young people because of the increase in police presence in various communities and on the streets of Nassau.
