The Defence Force picked up twenty-nine Haitian immigrants near Norman’s Cay, Exuma, after the Haitian’s boat sank on Wednesday.
The 24 men and five women scrambled ashore where they were picked up by HMBS Inagua and taken to the Coral Harbour Base for processing.
Defence Force officials say they consider the operation one of transport more than apprehension although the Haitians were undocumented.
