Pat Strachan, president of the Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA) said yesterday that the Attorney General’s office had failed to cooperate with the association in forming its Investigations and Disciplinary committee.
In an interview with The Tribune, Mr. Strachan said that in response to a written request from the Attorney General’s office received on May 6 BREA officials submitted a list of names for appointment to the committee on July 28.
The list was both faxed and han delivered, and several calls were made to the Attorney General’s office but the association had yet to even receive an acknowledgement of receipt of the list from the authorities Mr. Strachan said.
The Tribune understands that failure to approve the committee has hindered investigations into consumer complaints.
