Witness No-Show Gets Accused Off Drug Charges

Omar Moore, Paul Pratt and Maroin Adderley were all charged with taking steps to smuggle 4-1/2 pounds, or two kilos of cocaine worth $30,000, into Florida.

The three suspects were arrested at Nassau Airport. But Bahamas police prosecutors failed to provide any evidence against the men because the witnesses did not come to court.

Instead of demanding warrants for the arrest of the witnesses, Prosecuting Inspector Leamond Deleveaux asked Magistrate Carolita Bethell to drop the case against the men. οΎ The charges were dropped.
