The magazine, The Bahamas Investor, is being produced by Etienne Dupuch Jr Publications, and is intended to target foreigners, investors and “wealth management practitioners” with the aim of convincing them to invest in the Bahamas.
“Every issue you’ll encounter intriguing international business figures who are living their entrepreneurial dreams in the Bahamas, meet the executives driving some of the biggest development projects and get to know the individuals who are providing global expertise to the expanding high-net-worth arena,” the company said in a statement released yesterday.
The Investor will be a semi-annual international supplement to the Bahamas Handbook.
According to Dupuch Publications, the magazine was created to serve the growing interests and informational needs of foreign businessmen.
“It focuses on an array of areas such as: management strategies, opportunities for direct investment, and lifetime options, as well as other benefits of investing in the Bahamas,” the company said.
The regular features of The Bahamas Investor will include:
ユ “In brief”, which covers news items and industry announcements.
ユ “The closing brief”, which is envisioned as “the last word” from prominent guest columnists.
ユ “The business and sector watch”, which will provide industry-specific “close-ups” on projects and issues.
ユ “Island spotlight”, which will aim to highlight the most interesting projects on individual Bahamian islands.
The company said readers can also expert advice in the “Wealth management” section – from persons like Bahamas Financial Services Board director Wendy Warren, as well as Steve J Sokic, Royal Bank of Canada trust and estate planning advisor.
The magazine will also include an “Investor’s resource guide” for private wealth management practitioners that will cover tax planning issues, offshore wealth management structures in the Bahamas such as IBCs, foundations and purpose trust, setting up investment funds and business incentives.
The much-anticipated magazine is set to be released later this month.
