Lost In The Bahamas

Information released from cruise lines indicate that 15 people have disappeared from their ships in the last two years.

Of that number, two of those persons have gone missing in or around Bahamian waters.

According to The Miami Herald, on Dec. 10, 2005, Jill Begora, 59 of Canada, was reported missing near The Bahamas. She, along with her husband, were passengers on board The Royal Caribbean’s Jewel of the Seas. The FBI has investigated the matter, however, her husband is of the view that she committed suicide. He attributed his suspicion to her history of mental illness and previous suicide attempts. Additionally on March 17, 2005, Symom Dias, 29, a cabin steward aboard The Royal Caribbean’s Majesty of the Seas, reportedly disappeared between The Bahamas and Key West.
