The Ministry of Financial Services and Investments and Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC) have announced that the second Small Business Forum and Trade Show will be held from May 4-6 at the College of the Bahamas (COB).
The forum will give small businesses in the Bahamas the opportunity to express their concerns in a workshop where models of successful companies will be highlighted.
Opportunities and problems identified by Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will be addressed, with possible solutions to these matters recommended by the relevant stakeholders.
This activity will involve several guest presenters, as well as Bahamian experts in the small business sector.
*Topics to be discussed include: The future of small businesses in the Bahamas; the importance of timely record keeping;, creating a vibrant and sustainable small manufacturing sector; agriculture and its role in the Bahamas economy; constraints to market access for small businesses: the role of the Venture Capital Fund; lessons from successful entrepreneurs; the commercial banks and the role they play; and how to create and grow a successful agribusiness.
