My name is Mathew Laing and I am a timeshare owner of the Royal Oasis Vacation Club. I have been following the situation the best I can through the series of news articles published in the local Bahamian newspapers as the owners have not given us any information whatsoever.
It is coming up to two years since the resort was closed and yet not one piece of information from them as to the situation with the closed resort.
It is very frustrating and disappointing. I understand from a recent article, that a sale is close and that the timeshare owners would be bundled in that package and included as timeshare owners of the new resort under new management.
This would be the ideal situation for my family specifically as we loved our time in The Bahamas and were devastated to hear of the destruction that took place due to the hurricanes.
We fully understand the time that would be required to deal with a situation such as this and respect the process and work being done to resolve the situation. Our only request would be that the timeshare owners of the Royal Oasis be bundled into the deal and that we would become timeshare owners of the new resort.
Thank you very much for your understanding in this matter and thank you for the work you have been doing to resolve this situation.
Sincerely,
Mathew Laing
