PM’s ‘threats’ to Prosecutor

“DISTRESSED” prosecutor Cheryl Grant-Bethel alleges that during a “hostile” meeting Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham “threatened” to “bloody” her face and make her retire if she did not accept a job offer from the Judicial and Legal Services Commission or if she challenged the group’s decision not to promote her to Director of Public Prosecutions.

The allegation is part of an affidavit accompanying a lawsuit filed by Mrs Grant-Bethel yesterday against the JLSC – including chairman Chief Justice Sir Michael Barnett – and Attorney General John Delaney.
