Stephen Stubbs, also known as “Die” has been accused of threatening the life of senior police officer, Detective Superintendent Leon Bethel, head of the Central Detective Unit. Stubbs also faced charges disorderly behaviour and obscene language.
The 34-year-old Stubbs appeared before Deputy Chief Magistrate Carolita Bethel and entered a not guilty plea to the charges.
Inspector Ercell Dorsette informed Magistrate Bethel that Stubbs is on bail in relation to two additional matters, one of which would be heard in her court and another matter in the Supreme Court.
Stubbs was apparently arraigned before Magistrate Bethel along with three other men on drug charges related to the $4 million seizure of marijuana in Exuma. In Supreme Court, Stubbs faces charges in the murder of Corporal Jimmy Ambrose at the former Club Rock on West Bay Street eleven years ago.
Murrio Ducille, the attorney representing Stubbs claimed that the death threat was misconceived.
